Learner Account, Tuition, and Fees
Tuition
Nexford University establishes tuition rates based on geographic regions to support affordability for learners worldwide. Applicable tuition rates and payment terms are confirmed in the learner’s Enrollment Agreement at the time of enrollment. Tuition obligations apply only to the enrollment agreement executed at the time of enrollment and are not guaranteed in the event of re-enrollment under a new agreement.
Payments made under a prior enrollment agreement do not apply toward the tuition obligations of a new agreement.
Tuition rates for Nexford programs are listed below by geographic tier.
Program | Tier 1 | Tier 2 | Tier 3 | Tier 4 |
AAS / BBA | $250 | $230 | $140 | $120 |
MBA / MBAE | $450 | $320 | $300 | $275 |
MBAF / MSAI / MSDA / MSDT | $470 | $360 | $305 | $280 |
Undergraduate Career Pathways | $390 | $280 | $185 | $160 |

Learners taking undergraduate or graduate single courses are charged per course rather than a monthly fee.
Each country is assigned to a geographic tuition tier. Representative countries in each tier include:
Tier 1 – Canada, United Kingdom, and United States of America
Tier 2 – China and Turkey
Tier 3 – Egypt, Indonesia, Kenya, Philippines, and Thailand
Tier 4 – Nigeria and Ghana
To see tuition for each country, visit the Tuition page of the Nexford website.
Tuition Payment
Learners can access their financial information and submit payments through myNXU.
Tuition is billed monthly. Learners who complete a course within the first month of a two-month term are charged for one month of tuition. Those who complete a course after the first month are charged for the full term.
Effective November 1, 2025, tuition for learners enrolled in the Associate of Applied Science in Business (AAS) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs will be charged per course. Completing a course in less than the standard two-month term does not make a learner eligible for a tuition refund.
Payment Periods
Learners receive an invoice generated on the 20th of every month for their succeeding month(s) of active enrollment with instructions for submitting payment. If a learner fails to meet a tuition payment deadline, which is the end of every month, then the learner's access to the Nexford Learning Management System is suspended and may result in dismissal from the University. Failing to meet tuition payment deadlines may constitute a breach of the terms of this agreement and may result in Nexford University revoking any scholarships or other forms of tuition assistance that may have been extended to learners. Dismissal from the University will result in a termination of this contract, and a new enrollment agreement must be signed to re-enroll at the University. It is important to note that the tuition rate and the maximum total tuition specified in the enrollment agreement are applicable only for the duration outlined in the agreement and are not guaranteed in the event of re-enrollment under a new agreement.
Learners who are charged tuition on a per-course basis must pay the tuition amount for each course in full prior to enrollment. Payment must be completed before the course start date to confirm enrollment.
Payment Problems
If a learner's payment is not received on time, Nexford University will notify them via their registered email address that they will be placed on financial suspension once their current courses are completed. During financial suspension, learners will stop incurring tuition charges and will not be able to enroll in new courses. Financial suspension can last up to two months. If the outstanding balance is paid within that time, the learner will be enrolled in the upcoming term. If the balance remains unpaid after two months, the learner will be dismissed from the program.
University Fees
Nexford University is committed to offering learners an affordable education with a straightforward and transparent fee structure. There are no hidden fees such as assessment fees. All enrolled learners make tuition payments. The only additional fees that enrolled learners may incur would be for certain optional services.
Application Fee
Applicants to any Nexford academic program are required to pay an application fee ($25) with their application. This fee covers all costs related to the review and processing of their applications and supporting documentation.
If an applicant’s initial application is rejected, they will be notified in writing of the reasons for rejection, the steps required to reapply, and the timeframe for eligibility. The eligibility period for reapplication may vary depending on the reason for initial rejection. If a candidate decides to reapply, they will not need to complete a new application but must submit updated supporting documentation and pay a new application fee. The initial application fee is not transferable to the new application.
Diploma and Transcript Fees
Nexford University charges fees for certain optional services upon request. Official transcripts will not be released if a learner has any outstanding obligations to the University. Learners can request their academic records from the Registrar’s Office by emailing registrar@nexford.edu. The following non-refundable fees, listed in US dollars, apply to all learners across Nexford's academic programs:
Academic Program | Document | Fee |

Student copies of transcripts are considered unofficial, and some institutions may require an official copy.
Notarized and Authenticated Documents Fee
Notarized documents will be sent to learners or their designated recipients for a fee of $100 per document. If authentication is required, an additional $50 will apply.
University Refund Policy
Nexford University’s refund policy ensures learners a fair and equitable refund benefit while complying with the requirements of the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). Tuition charges are assessed in accordance with the learner’s program and the terms outlined in the learner’s enrollment agreement.
Courses are offered in 8-week terms. Learners may complete their course(s) at an accelerated pace and begin new courses at the next available start date. Tuition obligations are determined by the learner’s payment structure as outlined in the University Catalog and the learner’s enrollment agreement.
Non-refundable Fees
A non-refundable application fee is required for all applicants to Nexford’s degree and non-degree programs and must be submitted with the application.
Cancellations
Newly admitted learners are required to submit their first tuition payment after signing their enrollment agreement to finalize their enrollment at Nexford University. Learners have five (5) calendar days after signing the enrollment agreement to cancel enrollment in writing at success@nexford.edu and receive a full refund of all monies paid to Nexford University. Once the cancellation request has been received and processed, a notification will be sent to the Billings Team to complete a refund. Refunds are issued in the learner’s local currency and processed within thirty (30) days of the learner’s notice of cancellation.
Dismissals
Learners may be dismissed from Nexford University for failing to meet academic or financial requirements or for violating university policies. Grounds for dismissal include failure to demonstrate course participation, violation of the University’s code of conduct, unsatisfactory academic progress, non-compliance with financial obligations, or failure to meet admission conditions.
Refund eligibility for dismissed learners is determined based on their dismissal date, except in cases of administrative dismissal due to lack of participation. Learners who have paid tuition in advance for future terms are eligible for a refund of those payments. If eligible, the Billings Team will contact the learner to obtain the necessary account details. Refunds are issued in the learner’s local currency and will be processed within thirty (30) days of the request.
Withdrawals
Learners who wish to withdraw from the University must submit their request in writing to success@nexford.edu.
Refund eligibility is determined based on the date the written request is received by the Learner Success Team, in accordance with the refund schedule below. Once a withdrawal request is received and processed, the Billings Team will review the learner’s eligibility for a refund. If eligible, they will contact the learner to collect the necessary account details for processing. Refunds are issued in the learner’s local currency and will be processed within thirty (30) days of the withdrawal notice.

The University does not consider disciplinary actions resulting from violations of Nexford’s Learner Code of Conduct as valid grounds for appeal. Appeals should be sent to billings@nexford.edu.
For California Residents: Student Tuition Recovery Fund
The State of California established the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) to relieve or mitigate economic loss suffered by a student in an educational program at a qualifying institution, who is or was a California resident while enrolled, or was enrolled in a residency program, if the student enrolled in the institution, prepaid tuition, and suffered an economic loss. Unless relieved of the obligation to do so, you must pay the state-imposed assessment for the STRF, or it must be paid on your behalf, if you are a student in an educational program, who is a California resident, or are enrolled in a residency program, and prepay all or part of your tuition. You are not eligible for protection from the STRF and you are not required to pay the STRF assessment, if you are not a California resident, or are not enrolled in a residency program. It is important that you keep copies of your enrollment agreement, financial aid documents, receipts, or any other information that documents the amount paid to the school. Questions regarding the STRF may be directed to the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, 1747 North Market Blvd., Suite 225, Sacramento, CA 95834, (916) 574-8900 or (888) 370-7589.
To be eligible for STRF, you must be a California resident or are enrolled in a residency program, prepaid tuition, paid or deemed to have paid the STRF assessment, and suffered an economic loss as a result of any of the following:
The institution, a location of the institution, or an educational program offered by the institution was closed or discontinued, and you did not choose to participate in a teach-out plan approved by the Bureau or did not complete a chosen teach-out plan approved by the Bureau.
You were enrolled at an institution or a location of the institution within the 120-day period before the closure of the institution or location of the institution or were enrolled in an educational program within the 120 day period before the program was discontinued.
You were enrolled at an institution or a location of the institution more than 120 days before the closure of the institution or location of the institution, in an educational program offered by the institution as to which the Bureau determined there was a significant decline in the quality or value of the program more than 120 days before closure.
The institution has been ordered to pay a refund by the Bureau but has failed to do so.
The institution has failed to pay or reimburse loan proceeds under a federal student loan program as required by law or has failed to pay or reimburse proceeds received by the institution in excess of tuition and other costs.
You have been awarded restitution, a refund, or other monetary award by an arbitrator or court, based on a violation of this chapter by an institution or representative of an institution, but have been unable to collect the award from the institution.
You sought legal counsel that resulted in the cancellation of one or more of your student loans and have an invoice for services rendered and evidence of the cancellation of the student loan or loans
To qualify for STRF reimbursement, the application must be received within four (4) years from the date of the action or event that made the student eligible for recovery from STRF. A student whose loan is revived by a loan holder or debt collector after a period of non-collection may, at any time, file a written application for recovery from STRF for the debt that would have otherwise been eligible for recovery. If it has been more than four (4) years since the action or event that made the student eligible, the student must have filed a written application for recovery within the original four (4) year period, unless the period has been extended by another act of law. However, no claim can be paid to any student without a social security number or a taxpayer identification number.
