Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC)
Nexford University is licensed in the District of Columbia by the Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC) of the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE).

State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA)
Nexford University participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA). SARA is an agreement among member states, districts, and territories that establishes comparable national standards for the interstate offering of postsecondary distance education programs. Participation in SARA allows approved institutions to offer distance education programs to learners residing in other SARA member states, consistent with SARA policies and state regulations.

Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC)
Nexford University is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), 1101 17th Street NW, Suite 808, Washington, D.C. 20036, (202) 234-5100. The DEAC is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE)
The School of Business and Innovation at Nexford University has received specialized accreditation for the following business programs through the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) located at 11960 Quivira Road in Overland Park, Kansas, USA. The IACBE grants accreditation for business and accounting programs only. Locations and delivery modes for program offerings are determined solely by the Member.
