Academic Calendar
Learners complete their enrollment at Nexford University (NXU) upon admission, after making their first tuition payment. The academic calendar is based on an approximately eight-week (51 day) course duration.

University Holidays
Nexford University observes various holidays. During holidays, all Nexford online systems remain open and available. Learners are welcome to utilize these systems to continue working in their courses, complete assessments, and contact Success Advisors and course faculty.
Catalog Year
The catalog year at Nexford University runs from January 1 to December 31. Enrollment takes place on the first day of each month. Learners are bound by the program requirements of the catalog year in which they are admitted. Those who choose to change their academic program will follow the requirements of the catalog year in which the change is formally made.
Course Enrollment Timeline
Courses at Nexford University are open for enrollment until day five of the term. Starting from day six, learners will automatically be enrolled in the next available term.
Once enrolled, courses begin at 12:01 AM Eastern Time on the first day of the month following the enrollment. Learners will gain access to course materials, module 1, and its assessments, as soon as the course begins.
Learners are expected to complete their coursework within 51 days (approximately eight weeks) from the start of the course. For those who need additional time, a two-week extension may be granted upon request, provided the learner meets the eligibility criteria (see Course Extension section).
University Enrollment Timeline
Learners who are accepted for admission to Nexford University have 30 days from the issuance of their acceptance letter to complete their enrollment. This enrollment step is complete when learners make their first tuition payment. New learners may access Canvas 10 days and no less than 4 days prior to their chosen monthly term start date, to be able to participate in the NXU Orientation.

Once learners have signed their enrollment agreement, they will gain access to Canvas and the NXU Orientation.
