Associate of Applied Science in AI for Business (AASAIB)

Program Description

The Associate of Applied Science in AI for Business (AASAIB) is a two-year degree designed to prepare learners for entry-level, technology-adjacent roles in modern business environments. The program integrates applied AI and digital technology concepts with foundational business knowledge, quantitative reasoning, and general education. Graduates develop a hybrid skill set spanning AI literacy, data analysis, business fundamentals, and professional communication, enabling them to support AI-enabled workflows, data-informed decision-making, and digital operations across a range of organizational contexts. The program also provides a structured academic pathway for learners who wish to continue into the upper-level coursework of the Bachelor of Science in AI for Business.

Program Outcomes

  1. Describe fundamental AI concepts and common business use cases, including analytics, automation, and customer-facing applications.

  2. Use introductory programming concepts, low-code tools, and cloud-based platforms to support data handling, process automation, and AI-enabled business tasks.

  3. Apply introductory data analytics techniques to summarize data, recognize patterns, and support routine business decision-making.

  4. Identify ethical, security, and organizational considerations related to the use of AI-enabled and digital technologies in business environments.

  5. Describe the configuration, operation, and monitoring steps for digital and AI-enabled business processes based on established guidelines and procedures.

  6. Communicate effectively in professional settings by presenting technical information, data summaries, and project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  7. Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes associated with general education learning outcomes, including written and oral communication, quantitative reasoning, natural and physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and the humanities and fine arts.
